Video Schema Generator
Video markup helps search engines find the videos on your pages and show them with a thumbnail, duration and key moments. Enter the title, description, thumbnails, upload date, duration in h:mm:ss, the video file and player URLs, and optionally the view count, expiry date, allowed countries and key moments with start and end times. The generator converts the duration to ISO 8601 and validates everything.

Video Schema Generator FAQ
Which fields are required?
name, thumbnailUrl and uploadDate. A description and a contentUrl or embedUrl are strongly recommended.
How do key moments work?
Each clip has a name, start and end offset in seconds and a URL that opens the video at that time, for example with ?t=45.
Must the video be on the page?
Yes. The video should be the main content or clearly visible on the page with the markup.
How do I test it?
Publish the page and test its URL with Google’s Rich Results Test and the Schema Markup Validator, then watch the enhancement reports in Search Console.
Getting videos indexed
Search engines need to find a video, fetch its thumbnail and ideally the file or player, and understand what it is about. Markup provides all of that in one place.
For many videos, combine the markup with a video sitemap so search engines discover them quickly.
Privacy: everything on this page runs in your browser. What you type or paste is not uploaded, stored or logged, and the result is generated on your device, so you can safely work with unpublished content, client data or drafts.
Tip: the result updates as you type, so you can try variations quickly. Copy the output with one click or download it as a file, and keep a copy of your input if you want to come back later – nothing is saved between visits.
Who it is for: the tool is built for site owners, marketers, writers and developers alike. You do not need to install anything or create an account, it works on phones as well as on desktop computers, and the results are plain text you can paste into any CMS, spreadsheet, code editor or ticket.
Accuracy: the rules used here are documented on the page and follow the published guidelines of the major search engines and web standards. Where a result is an approximation or a rule of thumb rather than an official limit, the page says so, so you can decide how much weight to give it.
Good practice: generated markup and files only help when they match the real page. Publish them together with the visible content they describe, test the page with the official tools from the search engines, and update the markup whenever the page changes.
