Video Sitemap Generator
A video sitemap tells search engines where your videos are and what they contain. Write one line per video with the page, thumbnail, title, description, video file or player URL, duration and optional publication date. The generator decides between content_loc and player_loc from the address, checks Google’s limits for titles, descriptions and durations, groups several videos on the same page and writes valid XML.

Video Sitemap Generator FAQ
content_loc or player_loc?
content_loc points to the video file itself; player_loc to an embeddable player. The tool picks content_loc for addresses ending in a video file extension.
Does the video have to be on the page?
Yes. Each video must be visible on the page given in the loc element.
How do I submit the sitemap?
Upload the file to your site, add a “Sitemap: https://…” line to robots.txt and submit it in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.
Video sitemaps and markup
Video sitemaps and VideoObject structured data carry similar information. Sitemaps are convenient for many videos at once; markup lives on the page itself. Many sites use both.
Make sure thumbnails are crawlable and at least 160 × 90 pixels.
Privacy: everything on this page runs in your browser. What you type or paste is not uploaded, stored or logged, and the result is generated on your device, so you can safely work with unpublished content, client data or drafts.
Tip: the result updates as you type, so you can try variations quickly. Copy the output with one click or download it as a file, and keep a copy of your input if you want to come back later – nothing is saved between visits.
Who it is for: the tool is built for site owners, marketers, writers and developers alike. You do not need to install anything or create an account, it works on phones as well as on desktop computers, and the results are plain text you can paste into any CMS, spreadsheet, code editor or ticket.
Accuracy: the rules used here are documented on the page and follow the published guidelines of the major search engines and web standards. Where a result is an approximation or a rule of thumb rather than an official limit, the page says so, so you can decide how much weight to give it.
Good practice: generated markup and files only help when they match the real page. Publish them together with the visible content they describe, test the page with the official tools from the search engines, and update the markup whenever the page changes.
