Article Schema Generator
Article markup helps search engines understand who wrote a piece, when it was published and updated and which images represent it. Fill in the headline, URL, images, publication and update dates with time and time zone, the authors with links to their profile pages, and the publisher with its logo, and the generator produces Article, NewsArticle or BlogPosting JSON-LD. It warns about long headlines, missing images and update dates before the publication date.

Article Schema Generator FAQ
Which type should I choose?
BlogPosting for blog posts, NewsArticle for news, Article for everything else. All three are eligible for the same article features.
Why add a time zone?
Without an offset, a date with a time is ambiguous; Google recommends including the time zone.
Why link authors to a profile?
A profile URL helps search engines tell people with the same name apart.
How do I test it?
Publish the page and test its URL with Google’s Rich Results Test and the Schema Markup Validator, then watch the enhancement reports in Search Console.
Article markup that helps
Google reads dates, author and images from the page and from the markup; when both agree, results show the right author and date. Keep dateModified honest – changing the date without real updates is a spam signal.
Use images at least 1200 pixels wide in 16:9, 4:3 and 1:1 so the article can be shown well in different layouts.
Privacy: everything on this page runs in your browser. What you type or paste is not uploaded, stored or logged, and the result is generated on your device, so you can safely work with unpublished content, client data or drafts.
Tip: the result updates as you type, so you can try variations quickly. Copy the output with one click or download it as a file, and keep a copy of your input if you want to come back later – nothing is saved between visits.
Who it is for: the tool is built for site owners, marketers, writers and developers alike. You do not need to install anything or create an account, it works on phones as well as on desktop computers, and the results are plain text you can paste into any CMS, spreadsheet, code editor or ticket.
Accuracy: the rules used here are documented on the page and follow the published guidelines of the major search engines and web standards. Where a result is an approximation or a rule of thumb rather than an official limit, the page says so, so you can decide how much weight to give it.
Good practice: generated markup and files only help when they match the real page. Publish them together with the visible content they describe, test the page with the official tools from the search engines, and update the markup whenever the page changes.
