Logo Size Converter FAQ

Which input works best?

An SVG logo, because it is drawn sharply at every size. Large PNGs (1000 pixels or more) work well too; small PNGs become blurry when enlarged, and the tool warns you.

Why add padding?

Many platforms show profile pictures in a circle or with rounded corners. Padding keeps your logo away from the edges so nothing is cut off.

What about non-square sizes?

The logo is fitted inside the size without distortion and centred; the rest is filled with the background or transparency.

Do I get an .ico favicon?

This tool creates PNG sizes. For a complete favicon package with .ico, manifest and HTML code, use the Favicon Generator.

Is anything uploaded?

No. Everything is generated and processed in your browser.

One logo, many sizes

A logo appears in many places, each with its own required size: a 16-pixel favicon in a browser tab, a 180-pixel icon on an iPhone home screen, a 400-pixel profile picture on X and LinkedIn, a 1024-pixel app store icon. Producing these by hand in an editor is repetitive and easy to get inconsistent.

The converter fits your logo into each target size with the same proportional padding, so it looks equally balanced at every size. The logo is never stretched: it is scaled to fit and centred, and the remaining space is filled with transparency or a background colour.

Quality depends on the source. SVG logos are rendered directly at each size, which gives crisp edges even at 16 pixels. Raster logos are reduced in halving steps with high-quality filtering, which avoids the jagged edges of a single large reduction. Enlarging a small raster logo cannot add detail, so the tool warns when the source is small.

SVG files are sanitised before they are drawn: scripts and references to external files are removed, so even an SVG from an unknown source is safe to process.

All sizes are created in your browser and packed into one ZIP file.
