Keyword Clustering Tool

Turn a long keyword list into topics you can plan pages for. Paste keywords – with search volumes if you have them – and the tool groups them by the words they share after removing stop words and plural and verb endings. Words that appear in most of your keywords, such as the niche itself, are recognised as the topic and ignored when telling clusters apart. Adjust the similarity threshold and download the clusters as CSV.

Keyword Clustering Tool FAQ

How does it decide which keywords belong together?

It compares the sets of meaningful words in each keyword (Jaccard similarity). A keyword joins the cluster it is most similar to if the similarity reaches your threshold; otherwise it starts a new cluster.

Is this the same as SERP clustering?

No. SERP clustering groups keywords whose Google results overlap and needs a paid search API. Lexical clustering is free and instant, and works well for lists from one niche.

Which languages work?

Any language for the word matching; stop words and the stemmer are English, so English lists cluster best.

What should one cluster become?

Usually one page: the cluster name is its main keyword and the other keywords are subtopics or variations to cover.

From keyword list to content plan

Keyword research tools return hundreds of variations of the same few ideas. Writing a page for each variation creates thin, competing pages; clustering shows which variations belong together so one strong page can cover them.

The threshold controls how strict the grouping is. Lower values create fewer, broader clusters; higher values keep only very similar keywords together. Start at 50% and adjust until the clusters match how you would group them by hand.

When volumes are included, each cluster shows its total, which helps you decide which topics to write first.

Privacy: everything on this page runs in your browser. What you type or paste is not uploaded, stored or logged, and the result is generated on your device, so you can safely work with unpublished content, client data or drafts.

Tip: the result updates as you type, so you can try variations quickly. Copy the output with one click or download it as a file, and keep a copy of your input if you want to come back later – nothing is saved between visits.

Who it is for: the tool is built for site owners, marketers, writers and developers alike. You do not need to install anything or create an account, it works on phones as well as on desktop computers, and the results are plain text you can paste into any CMS, spreadsheet, code editor or ticket.

Accuracy: the rules used here are documented on the page and follow the published guidelines of the major search engines and web standards. Where a result is an approximation or a rule of thumb rather than an official limit, the page says so, so you can decide how much weight to give it.
